“Kids Like You, Kids Like Me”

Welcome to the Kids Like You, Kids Like Me weekend festival. Creative Discovery Museum is hosting this wonderful weekend festival to promote disabilities awareness in conjunction with its current exhibit, Kids Like You, Kids Like Me. Listen to storytelling by Mayor Littlefield and learn how to paint by using your mouth to hold a paintbrush with Artist in Residence Rick Gadbury. The public is invited to join in these exciting activities:

  • Join our Artist in Residence, Rick Gadbury, from 11-4 in the Atrium. He will be teaching lessons in the art studio at 12:30 and 3:30.
  • Join Chattanooga’s Kids on the Block for a performance at 3:00 in the Auditorium.
  • Join us on the plaza for sidewalk chalk using our specially equipped wheelchair.
  • Join us in the atrium for the following programs:
          • 12:00-Storytelling and signing with Bea Lyons and Honey Bear.
          • 1:00 and 1:30- Story time with Mayor Ron Littlefield including       sign language interpretation.
          • 2:00- Tommy and Cynthia Gates- Ballroom dancing.
          • 2:30- Shari Buddemeyer- Signing children’s songs with our       guests.
