Tate
Industries of White House, Tennessee constructed the 42 foot
high tower. It is made up of 38,000 pounds (19 tons) of steel.
The tower sits in a 18 foot tall concrete base, making the
total height 60 feet. The concrete base houses the Museum’s
Barsamian Sculpture.
The
second floor houses the Museum’s Observation Beehive
and several free-standing exhibit items. The third level,
reached by a long spiral staircase, is an observation deck
that overlooks the downtown Chattanooga area.
