Q. Is my membership good from the time of purchase or for a calendar year?
A. Your membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase, so you receive a full 12 months of Creative Discovery Museum fun. So if you purchase a memberhip on May 15, 2008 your membership will be active until May 31, 2009.

Q. How can I purchase a membership?
A. There are four simple ways to purchase or renew a membership:
   1. Purchase one on your visit to the Museum! You can buy your membership at the ticket desk on your first visit, and have it activated immediately.
   2. Call the Membership Department at (423)648-6060 and charge by phone using your Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express.
    3. Complete the Application online
   4. Print the Membership Application and mail with your check, credit card number, or money order to: Creative Discovery Museum, Membership Department, P.O. Box 6339, Chattanooga, TN 37401-6339

Q. When will I receive my membership card?
A. Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive your cards. If you haven't received your card after this time period, please contact the Membership Department at (423) 648-6060, or e-mail us and we will check on it for you.

Q. Can I visit before I receive my card?
A. Sure! You can come to the Creative Discovery Museum with a photo ID if you've purchased a membership. Just email us at membership@cdmfun.org or call us at (423) 648-6060 (Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) to let us know you're coming so we can notify the front desk. You'll just need your Photo ID. Please note, however, that you cannot visit museums in our reciprocal program until you get your card, as your participation in the program is identified by a sticker on your membership card.

Q. How many membership cards will I receive?
A. Members receive three membership cards, but you can request additional cards if needed.

Q. Can I lend my membership card to a friend or family member?
A. No. Memberships are non-transferable and are valid only for the persons whose names appear on the membership. However, the "My Family +1" and the "Grandparents+1" membership levels do allow the option of one additional person using the card, should you have an additional adult who would like to bring your children to the museum.

Q. Can I use my membership to bring my church group or girl scout troop?
A. No. Memberships are not suitable for groups or transferable to other people who are not listed on your membership application.

Q. How do I add extra guests to my membership?
A. You may add one extra unspecified adult to the $75 level memberships ("My Family" or "Grandparents & Me") for an additional $25. You can not have more then three adults on one membership however, so paying an extra $50 will not allow you to add two adults to the "My Family" or "Grandparents & Me" membership.

Q. Do guests of members get a discount?
A. Guests of members get $2 off their regular admission price. Guests must be accompanied by members however in order to receive the discount.

Q. How can I replace a lost or stolen membership card?
A. You can request a replacement membership card by contacting the Membership Department at (423) 648-6060 or by making a request at the Museum’s Ticket Desk. At this time, there is no fee for replacement cards.

Q. Why do I have to show a photo ID with my membership card?
A. Since Creative Discovery Museum is a nonprofit organization that relies heavily on membership and attendance for support, we must prevent misuse of membership cards. We also want to protect our members should their cards be lost or stolen.

Q. Can I renew my membership online?
A. Just fill out the online membership application. It’s helpful if you include your current membership ID number, shown on your membership card, but not necessary.

Q. I've already renewed my membership, but I continue to receive renewal notices. Should I be concerned?
A. Not really. Often a payment and a renewal form will cross in the mail. If you feel you have received a renewal notice in error, please contact the membership department at (423) 648-6060 or membership@cdmfun.org with any concerns.

Q. Is my membership payment tax-deductible?
A. Yes. The entire contribution is tax-deductible for income tax purposes.

Q. Is my Creative Discovery Museum membership good at other museums?
A. If you have purchased a Nationwide Family membership, your Creative Discovery Museum membership card will be honored at 100 other children’s museum across the US that participate in the Association of Children’s Museums’ reciprocity program.

Q. Do members receive free parking?
A. No. The parking lots around the Museum charge a fee of $5 or more depending on the time of year.

Q. Is there a cooperative membership with the Tennessee Aquarium & IMAX Theater?
A. No. We are separate organizations and have no joint memberships for purchase. However, discount combo and triple value tickets can be purchased on-line.
