Walking in the woods, a beach or around your house you can find objects that can be turned into art.Just think what can a stick or driftwood can be if you just look at it a little differently. It’s like cloud watching. You can see all kinds of animals and shapes in clouds and in sticks of wood. Next time you take a walk pick up some sticks and look for shapes that remind you of snakes, birds, fish, and all kinds of critters and things. With a little decoration these sticks can look even more like critters and things by following these instructions.
You’ll need:
- Paint (To keep your creation for a long time use acrylic paint)
- Brushes
- A cup of water
- A black permanent marker
- A piece of driftwood
Do this:
- Choose the piece of wood you want to paint and just hold it and turn it around until you see something that you could turn it into.
- Start with one color for the first coat and paint it all over.
- Let this dry. The length of drying time depends on the thickness of the first coat.
- Then start painting the features you want like a face, clothes, and other outstanding features you want people to notice.
- You can use stripes, dots, checks, and many other shapes you like to accent you creations.
- Sign and date your creation and enjoy.
