“From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere!”
Dr. Seuss’ Cat in the Hat will come to life at Creative Discovery Museum on Saturday, March 3, 2012. Dr. Seuss once said, “You make ‘em, I amuse ‘em.” The Museum will be carrying out the tradition by preparing for a rhyme of a time at the annual AmuseUm fundraiser, the party for adults that benefits kids. The party will begin at 7 p.m. Dress is casual, and tall, striped hats are optional.
Guests of AmuseUm 2012 can further support the Museum by participating in whimsical bidding at the event’s silent and live auctions with a wide range of items, because “a person is a person, no matter how small!” Oh, the places you will go if you win a trip across the country! Don't miss our online auction as well, which is now open. And, AmuseUm would not be the same without guests getting to sample delicacies prepared by Lee Towery.
“We are excited about this year’s event, as it is sure to appeal to individuals who remember the magic of Dr. Seuss,” said Henry Schulson, Executive Director of Creative Discovery Museum. “Dr. Seuss has inspired thousands of children to love to read. In the same way, Creative Discovery Museum inspires children every day to explore, innovate, create and play.”
Two reservation levels are available:
- THING 1 ($125 VIP), VIP Guests receive not only admission to the event, but also Valet Parking and access to the exclusive VIP Lounge which features:
- Selection of Chattanooga Area specialty food and beverages, including beer from Chattanooga Brewery
- Individual caricatures by artist Charlie Newton to take home
- THING 2 ($85) General admission to the party and all the food, drinks and dancing.
