Please give to the Museum's 2010 Annual Campaign and become a Great Friend to Kids!
This year alone the Museum’s School Outreach program will reach over 20,000 students, well ahead of our projections. Our Education staff piloted math and science family nights in area schools this year. The demand far outweighed our expectations.
On an individual level, it is difficult to assess the magnitude of the impact the Museum is making on the lives of families and children. How many countless examples are there of the Museum’s impact?
Howard School of Academics and Technology. Our PlayGym
educator, Jeanette Dean, works with Howard students at
the onsite daycare center training them in parenting and early
childhood education skills. The Assistant Principal at Howard
observed one of the students smiling and interacting in a
positive manner while working in PlayGym. She said this was
the first time she had ever seen this student smile.
Our community is fortunate to have the educational resources of a top-ranked children’s museum within its environs. However, we can not do it alone. The support of dedicated friends like you is absolutely necessary.
