Go Bananas over Pudding with
Curious George™
June 27th at Creative Discovery Museum
Chattanooga, TN - Banana pudding is a southern tradition and inquiring minds want to know who has the best banana pudding in Chattanooga! As part of the featured summer exhibit, Curious George™: Let’s Get Curious!, Creative Discovery Museum is taking the perfect opportunity to host a best banana pudding contest. Announced by Anne Braly in a recent issue of the Chattanooga Times Free Press, the Museum is calling for nominations for the Chattanooga restaurant with the best banana pudding.
On Saturday, June 27th, nominees will be invited to whip up a large batch of their special recipe for Museum guests to taste and vote as their favorite. From noon to 3 p.m., guests will cast their votes by donating pennies. Each penny is a vote for that restaurant’s pudding and will be designated toward the Museum’s Million Pennies project. Proceeds from the project will benefit Pennies for Peace. The pudding that earns the most pennies will be the recipient of a special award acknowledging the honor of having the best banana pudding in Chattanooga!
Kids will also have an opportunity to make their own creamy concoction at the only event in Chattanooga dedicated to this crowd pleasing dessert. Plus, Curious George will make a special appearance to cast his vote as well!
Nominations for the contest may be submitted to Liza Blair, Arts Manager at Creative Discovery Museum, at 423-648-6069 or llb@cdmfun.org. Deadline for submission is May 15th, 2009.
Curious George: Let’s Get Curious will be the featured summer exhibit June 13 through September 27, 2009. Through fun math, science and engineering-based adventures, this exhibit inspires children of all ages to ask questions and find answers through hands-on solution seeking. The exhibit is sponsored nationally by 3M and locally by Little Debbie Snacks®, Chattanooga Times Free Press, WTCI Channel 45, and the Chattanooga Zoo.
