Creative Discovery Museum’s Tower Club to host

             ‘80s prom murder mystery party

‘And you thought your high school was murder…’

(September 28, 2009) - Remember the classic childhood game Clue? Creative Discovery Museum is bringing the game to life at the second annual Clue Mystery Party, a party for adults to benefit children.  On Oct. 24, 2009, Creative Discovery Museum will transform into CDM High for a thriller night. This 1985 high school is set for its yearly prom. The only catch: There’s a killer on the loose, and it’s up to prom guests to figure out “who-dun-it”.

Hosted by the Tower Club, the Museum’s young professional organization, this event is sure to be awesomely ‘80s. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their finest ‘80s prom outfits, from ruffled turquoise tuxedos to glitzy sequined gowns.  The event is sponsored by First Bank, 96.5 The Mountain, AT&T Yellow Pages, Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union, Heritage Funeral Home, Juncture, Cole Sweeton Design and Printree.

The first half of the evening will be spent uncovering a mystery skillfully crafted by First Draft Productions. Guests will be led through each museum exhibit, gathering clues, taking notes and ruling out suspects. Prom will then reconvene in the atrium, where the murderer will be revealed, and guests can dance the night away to an electric mix of favorite ‘80s hits. Carrabba’s Italian Grill will also provide an illustrious assortment of Dinner Date hors d’oeurves with drinks located in the upstairs lounge.

Guests will enjoy an array of food and beverages, pose for classic ‘80s prom pictures and have the chance to win gift cards, wine, and authentic ‘80s prizes through a Prom King/Prom Queen raffle. Food and drink will be provided by Carrabba’s, Carter Distributing, Chick-fil-A, Meals by Mindy, Niko’s Southside Grill, PF Chang’s China Bistro, Rosie’s Homemade Ice Cream, The Acropolis Four Stars Grill, Tienda Jalisco and more.

Space is limited, so visit www.cdmfun.org/clue to make your reservations now.

Entrance to the event is $50 per person and includes all food and drink. Proceeds support Creative Discovery Museum’s Tower fund, which provides free admission and scholarships to underserved children in the community, allowing them to visit the museum, attend camps and experience learning in a whole new way.
