A Fun Saturday “Brain and Body Workout” Offered at Creative Discovery Museum’s PlayGym
(September 2, 2010) - - Creative Discovery Museum is adding a special 3 session Saturday class to their already popular PlayGym program for children ages 4 months to 3 years and their caregivers. The Saturday sessions will be held on the first Saturday of each month (October 2nd, November 6th, December 4th) with Baby/Ones at 10:30 a.m. and Two/Threes at 11:30 a.m.
During the class, both adults and children interact with each other learning and playing in a way that is healthy for both baby and parent using colorful gym equipment and sensory stimulation. The new Saturday schedule enables moms and dads who are busy during the week to have an opportunity to experience engaging activities that will help their child develop motor, language, and cognitive skills. PlayGym offers parents and children a safe, fun environment to meet others in their peer group, as well as, share special moments together.
“The first years of a child’s growth are filled with discovery,” states Jenette Dean, PlayGym Instructor and an early childhood educator with over 20 years of experience. “Saturday PlayGym is an excellent way for parents to nourish that discovery and be amazed at the wonder and excitement of learning with their child.”
Reservations are required for PlayGym and payment is due upon registration. Call Nancy at (423) 648-6045 or Beth at (423) 648-6040 to register. Cost for the 3 sessions is $25 for members and $28 for non-members. For more information visit www.cdmfun.org/playgym.
