Cooking Up Birthday Fun at Creative Discovery Museum
(September 16, 2010) - - Creative Discovery Museum’s Culinary Corner will be bustling with excitement in 2011, as the Museum’s popular birthday party program expands to offer child-friendly cooking experiences. Families have the option to host customized birthday parties for children age 5 and older with themed cooking activities in the Museum’s demonstration kitchen. Birthday party time may be scheduled from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays, January through October.
The special Birthday boy or girl may choose either a taco bar, pizza, or fruit salad AND either ice cream sundaes, birthday cake, or cupcakes. Party-goers will demonstrate their culinary expertise by assembling their own masterpiece while donning a decorated chef hat. The party continues as the birthday group embarks on an exciting scavenger hunt through the Museum.
“The Culinary Corner is a bright, cheerful space perfectly designed for a cooking birthday party,” states Lynne Mulligan, the Museum’s Program Manager. “No one does a birthday like Creative Discovery Museum, and this unique cooking experience will add a twist to a well-established party venue. Our staff is unsurpassed in provided a birthday party the entire family can enjoy!”
Reservations are required and payment is due upon registration. Activities are designed for kids ages 5 and up with a maximum of 15 kids and a total group size of 30. (Food and activities are provided for children only). Creative Discovery Museum is open Mon-Sat: 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sun: noon-5 p.m. Closed most Wednesdays September - February. 321 Chestnut Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402.
