Science Theatre at Northgate Mall Hosts a Unique Summer Moving Sale
(May 19, 2010) - - The Science Theatre inside Northgate Mall will host a summer moving sale like no other on Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. During summer 2010, the Science Theatre will relocate to a newly renovated Auditorium within Creative Discovery Museum. Office and science equipment, craft supplies, and child friendly goodies must be sold before moving to the downtown location. The moving sale will take place only at the Science Theatre location at Northgate Mall.
Creative Discovery Museum’s Science Theatre is the only “science center” in the area. Over the years of presenting amazing science fun, it has acquired and utilized very unusual and unique pieces of equipment. Educators, parents, and other science enthusiasts are welcome to peruse the merchandise to find items that will help enrich children’s learning experiences at home and in group or classroom settings.
Sale items include:
- giant Newtonian cradle
- large wheel of fortune
- rainbow machine
- office and science equipment
- craft supplies
- child friendly goodies and much more
With the Auditorium renovations at Creative Discovery Museum downtown, many new doors will be opened for the Science Theatre to serve the community. The new location will increasingly present opportunities for awe-inspiring science experiments and demonstrations, further encourage children to experience hands-on science learning, and provide access to a variety of scientific concepts for the many guests and school groups that visit the Museum.
“The Science Theatre has been an important part of the Chattanooga community for nearly 15 years. Moving the Science Theatre to the newly renovated Auditorium at Creative Discovery Museum will provide a freshness and renewed vigor to the science programming,” states Karen Dewhirst, Manager at the Science Theatre. “Come to the Science Theatre moving sale to celebrate the past and help launch us into the future.”
