(June 24, 2011—Chattanooga, TN) Creative Discovery Museum is honoring America by celebrating her 235th birthday and you are invited to the party! Red, White and Blue Days will be held at the Museum July 2, 3 and 4. Each day will feature established American traditions that are kid friendly for celebrating Independence Day including a parade, patriotic face paint, and a highly anticipated explosion of “safe fireworks” using bubble wrap.
From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. guests can create July Fourth inspired crafts. At 1 p.m. the Museum will celebrate America’s birthday with guests over birthday cake and ice cream on the Plaza. Then, at 2 p.m. guests are encouraged to gather with noisemakers, flags and tons of enthusiasm to parade around the Museum. The parade will be complete with lots of noise for the grand finale with bubble wrap “fireworks.”
“Red, White and Blue Days provide a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy traditional July Fourth festivities in a cool and safe setting as children experience a giant birthday party for America,” said Jayne Griffin, Director of Education for Creative Discovery Museum.
All Red, White and Blue Days activities are included in the Museum's regular admission charge.
