Every year we offer fun homeschool sessions. The classes on this page take place at our downtown location. We also offer homeschool sessions at our Science Theatre at Northgate Mall.

Looking for opportunities to extend your child’s homeschool experience? Your search is over. Simply register for homeschool workshops at Creative Discovery Museum. Each workshop is a five week series of two hour classes. Workshops are available for 5-7 year olds and 8-10 year olds.

Workshops are $75 for non-members and $65 for members.

This season's classes will be held on Thursday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The themes are:

Inventors and Inventions
January 22nd to February 19th
Have you ever played with a really cool toy and wondered who made it? Have you ever wanted to create something new that nobody else has ever seen before? Can kids be inventors? Are there any inventors from Chattanooga? Join us for our Inventors and Inventions homeschool classes and learn the answers to these and other questions as we explore the innovative world of inventors and inventions.

Spring 2009
Architecture and Buildings
April 30th to May 28th
Creative Discovery Museum’s temporary exhibit Your House, My House will be the inspiration for this homeschool series. We will explore different types of homes, building materials, and climates in which different homes are built. A local architect will help us examine blueprints and explore the mechanics of designing a building. This session will include a walking field trip to explore some of Chattanooga’s different types of architecture, building materials and styles.
