Join local student Chemistry Clubs in the area as we celebrate “Chemistry—Our Health, Our Future!” on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. as part of National Chemistry Week. This exciting event will investigate the positive impacts of chemistry by looking at the importance of nutrition, hygiene and medicine. Students from Chattanooga’s Girls’ Preparatory School (GPS) honor chemistry class will be on hand to assist younger learners with hands-on experiments. Each experiment will incorporate every day materials to make chemistry more approachable and understandable to children.
