Chemistry Fun Day - Energy Now and Forever!

Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013
12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Participate in fascinating experiments involving chemical reactions at Creative Discovery Museum. Chemistry Fun Day will be held in connection with National Chemistry Week on Saturday, Oct. 26. This year’s theme: “Energy Now and Forever,” will focus on exploring chemistry and energy while also focusing on sustainable resources such as biofuels.

To mark the 26th anniversary of the National Chemistry Week, Chemistry Clubs in the surrounding area will be on hand to assist younger guests with experiments. National Chemistry Week is a community-based annual event that unites American Chemical Society to businesses, schools, and individuals in communicating the importance of chemistry to our quality of life.

“Chemistry touches every aspect of our lives from the complex reactions that occur in our bodies, to the products we use on a daily basis,” says Karen Dewhirst, Science Manager at Creative Discovery Museum. “Chemistry Fun Day is a unique opportunity to make chemistry fun, approachable and relevant to children and their parents.”
