Member Morning: CDM Earth Love
Join us for April Member Morning as we celebrate CDM Earth Love in preparation for Earth Day!
Member Mornings are exclusive playtimes for members to enjoy before the General Admission crowds. For this Member Morning, we are excited to talk about ways we can show some "Earth Love" with activities that encourage easy sustainable practices for families to take home!
Between now and April 15, how many recyclables can you save to donate to CDM? During this Member Morning, we will have a Recyclable Challenge! We are asking families to bring in clean plastic water/soda bottles, toilet paper/paper towel tubes, and clean cardboard boxes (think empty cereal or granola bar boxes) to help fill the 3D sculpture silos in Make It Zone. Each child will receive a small prize for bringing in donated recyclables!
Activities will include:
- Red Cabbage Tie-Dye: Using red cabbage mixed with a variety of household ingredients, guests will tie-dye a reusable bag! How many plastic bags can you keep from going into the landfill by re-using your new bag?
- Compost Stew story time: Join us on the rooftop to learn about composting! Story time will happen at 9am and 9:30am.
We want to give a special thank you to our staff members who participate in CDM's Green Team - they provided the activities for this Member Morning and encourage sustainable practices for our staff and guests at CDM year-round! This Member Morning is a snapshot of CDM's Earth Day celebration, happening on Saturday, April 22. We encourage you to come back and learn more about ways to spread "Earth Love" with CDM!
