College Internships

Learn first hand about careers in science, museums, exhibit development, public relations, fund-raising, or early childhood education? Interns at Creative Discovery Museum have the chance to do just that. The internship program will provide hands-on experience that will be a vital part of a college education. Interns are typically expected to be juniors or seniors in college, or Master's Degree candidates. Internship lengths and schedules vary according to university, field of study, and course requirements, but are usually expected to be no less than 100 hours per semester. Internships at Creative Discovery Museum are non-paid, except for all of the fun.


Exhibit Development Intern

Job Description: Maintain current exhibits, install and break down traveling exhibits, researching and installing new exhibits, and other projects as they arise.
Openings: 1, part-time
Number of hours: Minimum of 10 hours per week/negotiable
Start Date/End Date: Negotiable

Museum Experience Intern

Job Description: Assist in the design, construction, and implementation of interactive educational activities to be used with museum visitors. Prototype and evaluate an informal activity program. General help with a variety of museum experience programs and/or projects.
Openings: 1, part-time
Number of hours: 20 hours per week, negotiable
