Supplement your homeschool curriculum with hands-on, interactive STEAM experiences you can't find anywhere else! Register your child for CDM's STEAM Club for Homeschool! STEAM Club meets Tuesdays from 1-3 p.m. and is designed specifically for 1st through 8th graders. Lessons change monthly and provide experiences that make science, technology, engineering, art and math come alive for kids.

Pricing Structure
  • $185/non-members; CDM members save 20%
  • Families registering multiple children in the same household save $20 on the session price. The first student pays full price.
  • Families registering for session 1 and 2 save 20% on the total registration price.

Schedule

Bioplastics
September 7, 14, 21, 28
Plastics made from fossil fuels are not biodegradable and remain in the environment for hundreds of years. Students will tackle this problem by becoming chemical engineers and design their own bioplastics from plant material.

Insulating Homes
October 5, 12, 19, 26, 2021
Students will be challenged to use green engineering skills to insulate a model home to keep it a constant temperature inside regardless of the external temperature. They will experiment with different types of insulation and learn about different types of insulation used around the world.

Water Reuse Process
November 2, 9, 16, 2021
As water resource engineers, students will use the steps of the Engineering Design Process to design creative ways to reuse water in a home.
