Don't miss this opportunity to be the first ones in the door to explore the new exhibit before it opens to the public.
We are opening one hour early just for members! Join us Saturday, Sept. 21 for our Framed: Step Into Art™ Member Morning. Doors open at 9 a.m. and admission is free!
In addition to exploring the new exhibit, become a Creative Discovery Museum Playmaker! By becoming a Playmaker, our youngest supporters see that they make a real difference in the community!
A donation of $50 includes an exhibit-themed plaque, hand-crafted in our Make It space, and engraved with the Playmaker’s name. The plaques remain on display in the Museum during the exhibit, but then are sent to the Playmaker as a keepsake. Supporters who purchase a Playmaker can attend our Member Morning on Saturday, September 21, and have their families picture taken by Nicole O’ Rourke Photography. Photos will be emailed to the family and will fit perfectly inside the Playmaker plaque for Framed: Step into Art!
More about Framed: Step into Art.
Step inside the framework of famous paintings and experience art like never before in Framed: Step into Art. Children and adults can enjoy a robust noontime meal in Grant Wood's Dinner for Threshers, climb into a tent and explore camping gear in John Singer Sargent's Camp at Lake O'Hara and add "corn husks" to the flower tower in Diego Rivera's Corn Festival. Enter Clementine Hunter's Big Chicken and get behind the reins of a giant rooster. Visitors can explore a small collection of Mona Lisa prints featuring the original and famous parodies, then step behind a cutout version and replace Mona Lisa's face with their own. Framed: Step into Art was created by Minnesota Children's Museum.
