Preschool Adventure Days

During Preschool Adventure Day, children will experience multi-sensory, hands-on activities that incorporate music, art, literacy and lots of fun.

“Research shows young children learn best by hands-on experience and Preschool Adventure Days provide a wealth of new vocabulary experiences,” said Erin Townley, Early Childhood Manager. “This is definitely an event that will provide lasting memories for children and families.

Preschool Adventure Day: Safari

Saturday, Sept. 7
10 a.m. to noon
Activities included with admission

We are going on a Safari adventure! Preschool Adventure Day: Safari is a special event designed specifically for young visitors. Grab a map, make binoculars and have fun looking for animals on the Savannah! We will explore safari animals through pretend play, art and sensory rich activities that engage the imagination and build early math, language, motor and socio-emotional skills. During Preschool Adventure Day: Safari, children can:

  • move like safari animals,
  • create a lion mask,
  • set up camp,
  • make their own binoculars to scout out animals,
  • interact with employees and animals from the Chattanooga Zoo,
  • and more!

Don't miss this multi-sensory event perfect for young children and their caregivers. A special thank you to our Ooltewah JROTC volunteers for helping make this event possible.

Can't make it to this Preschool Adventure Day? No problem! Our next Preschool Adventure Day will be Dec. 7, 2019.

Sound like fun? Then how about this new free program for the preschool set?
