Lunar New Year

Celebrate Lunar New Year at Creative Discovery Museum on Saturday, January 28 from 12-4pm! CDM's Lunar New Year event gives children and families the opportunity to experience the different ways members of our community celebrate the start of the new year. Participating at this year’s event will be the Chattanooga Chinese Association Dragon Team and dance group.  Additional art experiences will take place in the Museum’s Art Studio.

Schedule of activities

• 12-4 p.m.: Red paper collaborative collage in the Art Studio
• 12-4 p.m.: Language activity in the Art Studio
• 1 p.m.: Dragon procession through the Museum
• 2 p.m.: Folkloric Chinese Dance performance

All activities are included with the price of Museum admission.

Lunar New Year is a part of CDM's ArtsLive programming which receives funding support from the Tennessee Arts Commission and ArtsBuild.
