Unaccompanied children will not be granted admission to the Museum. Children under the age of 13 are not allowed inside the Museum without supervision. Children 12 and under may be supervised by a person 13 years or older. If the person supervising is between the ages of 13 to 15, an adult must come inside and sign a permission slip at the ticket desk in the presence of a Museum staff member. Children 13 - 15 years old may visit the Museum without an adult only if an adult has come into the building and signed the permission slip at the ticket desk. Creative Discovery Museum is not responsible for supervising during this visit or for ensuring children remain in the building. Even with parental permission, the Museum does not have the legal right to detain anyone of any age in the building. Children 16 years and older are considered adults in regards to admission and do not need to be accompanied by adults. If visiting without accompanying children, guests must leave a valid photo ID at the Ticket Desk.
We recommend that you allow at least two hours to enjoy your visit. With limited building capacity, the 3-hour session time gives you plenty of time to explore and play safely and comfortably.
CDM is open daily from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Timed tickets are required for all visitors, including members and can be purchased or reserved at cdmfun.org/tickets.
CDM will continue to "Play It Safe" by implementing policies and procedures to keep our visitors, staff and volunteers safe. Face masks are required for everyone ages 5 and up regardless of vaccination status. Timed tickets are required for all visitors, including members. A no-contact health screening and temperature check will be conducted before all visitors, staff and volunteers enter the building. Building, event and program capacities will be limited. Hand washing will be encouraged and additional hand sanitizing stations have been installed. CDM staff will clean throughout sessions. Additionally, the Museum will close from 1-2 p.m. each day for deep cleaning and prop rotation. For additional information, please visit cdmfun.org/press-area/welcome-back.
Masks are required for all visitors ages 5 and up regardless of vaccination status. If you or any member of your group cannot wear a mask or face covering due to a medical exemption, you must contact CDM at least 72 hours in advance so we can make reasonable accommodations for your visit. Please email us at akb@cdmfun.org or call 423-648-6048. Due to the structure of certain programs and Museum spaces, masks will be required and medical exemptions will not be permitted in the following: Art Studio, Make It Workshop, Auditorium and programs including Destination Discovery, workshops, birthday parties, camps, STEAM Club for Homeschool and PlayGym.
