Dreamer's Day
Monday, January 19, 2026 | 10:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. throughout the Museum
Celebrate the power of kindness, courage, and community at Dreamers Day—a day inspired by the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Through stories, hands-on activities, and shared experiences, kids and families are invited to explore Dr. King's legacy and his dream of liberty and opportunity for all.
During Dreamers Day, families can:
- Enjoy special story times throughout the day
- Mae Makes a Way: The True Story of Mae Reeves by Hat & History Maker by Olugbemisola Rhuday
- Ruth and the Green Book by Calvin A. Ramsey and Gwen Strauss
- Martin's Big Words: The Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by Doreen Rappaport
- Meet and learn alongside student volunteers from Southern Adventist University, St. Nicholas School, and MAPs.
- Gather for a Heart of the Home culinary program at 3:00 p.m. in Spark Central. We'll taste and learn about a family tradition shared by a CDM MAP (teen volunteer) and his Family.
Through books, art, and play, Dreamers Day invites Chattanooga families to discover how even the smallest hands can make a big difference.
Included with Museum Admission.
