Chattanooga, Tenn. (Apr. 14, 2026)— Creative Discovery Museum is excited to announce a new partnership with Bean Sprouts, a nationally recognized café brand known for its fresh, wholesome, and kid-friendly menu offerings. Bean Sprouts will take over operations of the Museum’s café, bringing a reimagined dining experience designed especially for families.
To prepare for the transition, the Museum’s café will close on April 20 for renovations. The refreshed café is expected to reopen in early summer, unveiling an updated space and menu that aligns with the Museum’s mission of inspiring children and families to explore, innovate, create, and play.
Founded with a focus on making healthy food fun, Bean Sprouts operates cafés in cultural destinations across the country, including children’s museums, zoos, and science centers. The company is celebrated for its creative menu items—like playful sandwiches, salads, and snacks—that appeal to both kids and adults while emphasizing nutritious ingredients and imaginative presentation.
“Partnering with Bean Sprouts allows us to extend the guest experience in a meaningful way,” said Tim Sears, President and CEO at Creative Discovery Museum. “Bean Sprouts brings a thoughtful, high-quality approach that aligns perfectly with our commitment to serving families with creativity and care.”
Bean Sprouts’ approach goes beyond food, incorporating engaging food names, interactive elements, and a welcoming environment that encourages kids to try new things—an experience that complements the hands-on learning happening throughout the Museum.
“We’re thrilled to join the Creative Discovery Museum community,” said Kelly Parthen, Co-founder and “Pea Brain” at Bean Sprouts. “Our mission is to spark children’s appetites with yummy, good-for-you food and delight grown-ups with a happier mealtime. There is no better place to do that than in a space dedicated to curiosity and creativity. We look forward to serving Chattanooga families and becoming part of their Museum experience.”
During the café closure and renovation, guests will still have convenient dining options nearby. Hilton Garden Inn Chattanooga Downtown, located next door to the Museum, will offer lunch service on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Additionally, the Museum plans to host food trucks on weekends, providing a variety of options for visiting families. More details, including participating vendors and schedules, will be shared on the Museum’s website and social media channels.
