All Saints' Day

Join us in celebrating All Saints' Day!

All Saints’ Day celebrations honor the lives of ancestors. It is a Christian feast day celebrated widely by the Catholic Church and Hispanic communities to honor all saints in heaven. In Guatemala, the day is marked by colorful festivals filled with music and joy. One of the most famous is the Giant Kite Festival in Santiago Sacatepéquez, where enormous handmade kites soar through the sky to ward off bad spirits. Create papel picado at Creation Station and draw a day of remembering portrait in honor of loved ones.

This event is included with Museum Admission.

This year, Creative Discovery Museum is a participating member of Healing with Play, a partnership between the Association of Children's Museums, New York Life Foundation, and Knology. November is Children's Grief Awareness Month, so as part of this initiative, CDM is sharing resources from these partners about the healing work of play for children.
