Read Across America Day at CDM!

Saturday, February 28 | 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

CDM LOVES books — and we're celebrating in a big way! In honor of National Read Across America Week (beginning March 2), we're turning the Museum into a reading adventure for the whole family. Join us for a jam-packed day of story times, costumed characters, fire trucks, kitchen fun, and more — all designed to spark a love of reading in every child!

Keep an eye out for CDM staff dressed as their favorite book characters.

Story Times all day long!

10:00 a.m. —  Out of a Jar by Deborah Marcero

11:00 a.m. — Chattanooga Fire Department will be reading a story. You may spot their truck outside!

12:00 p.m. — Chattanooga Theatre Centre cast of Seussical the Musical reads their character's books in full costume!

1:00 & 2:00 p.m. — Kitchen Lesson: If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff

3:00 p.m. — Readers Theater in the Imaginatorium

4:00 p.m. — Bilingual Story Time with Dr. Cindy Chestaro
