We understand the importance of creative, hands-on play for healthy development and strive to create an inclusive environment for all visitors. Accommodations are provided at the Museum so that all children will have equal opportunities to play and explore.
Turquoise Trail is Creative Discovery Museum's accessible, sensory-friendly trick-or-treat event designed to ensure that guests with mobility, developmental, and sensory differences can experience the joy of this Halloween tradition in a safe, supportive, and authentically inclusive environment.
At this year's Association of Children's Museums conference, Interactivity, Creative Discovery Museum received an Outstanding Practice Award for Turquoise Trail. This award "recognizes an exceptional accomplishment by a children’s museum in work across all departments that is also recognized as an outstanding practice for the field." We are very proud of our team, who have inspired other museums to create similar events in their communities. Club Discovery is a weeknight respite program for 2 hours on Tuesday nights. Kids of all abilities join in making friends, sparking curiosity, and enjoying the museum with trained volunteers and a predictable routine of activities. Every Club night is a blast with snacks, laughs, and growing peer interaction.
Join us on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m.!
$25/person per session
Kindergarten through 5th graders
Fall Session 1: September 1, 8, 15, 22, 29.
Fall Session 2: October 20, 27, & November 3, 10, 17.

Sensory Night is a free, low-sensory event for children and families with sensory sensitivities.
Join us on select Thursdays from 5:30-8 p.m.!

Friends' Discovery Camp is a summer camp where friends with disabilities and their typically developing peers explore the Museum together for a week of fun!
June 1-5: Rising 1st-3rd Graders
June 8-12: Rising 3rd-5th Graders
July 13-17: Rising 6th-8th Graders
